The convertible ground cover and backpack allows users to quickly convert a ground cover into a backpack using minimal tools and can be performed under various conditions. This eliminates the unnecessary extra weight required in conventional systems of carrying both a backpack and a groundcover. Furthermore, the convertible ground cover and backpack may be easily cleaned during or after use.
