Ufa State Aviation Technical University (USATU) is a state higher school, located in Ufa, Bashkortostan, Russia. Ufa State Aviation Technical University was founded in 1932 in Rybinsk, USSR (moved to Ufa during WWII). Nowadays, Ufa State Aviation Technical University has become the one of leading higher educational institutions of Russia and represents a large scientific and educational complex. There are 18 areas of study and 40 programs in its 7 faculties (full-time and by correspondence).

Rybinsk Aviation Institute was established
According to the Heavy Industry National Commissariat’s Order no 368, on July 11, 1932, Rybinsk Aviation Institute was established.
1942
Orjonikidze Ufa Aviation University
By the USSR Aviation Industry National Commissar’s Order no. 403/October 10, 1942, was settled the university’s permanent location in Ufa with the naming Orjonikidze Ufa Aviation University.
1992
Ufa State Aviation Technical University
By the R.F. Science, Higher Education and Technical Politic Ministerial’s Order no. 1133/ December 24, 1992, Orjonikidze Ufa Aviation University was renamed Ufa State Aviation Technical University.
2003
State Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education «Ufa State Aviation Technical University
Ufa State Aviation Technical University was entered for the Integrated state register in February 17, 2003 with naming State Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education «Ufa State Aviation Technical University»
