The United States Naval Academy (USNA), also known by its short name, USNA, is a public educational institute founded on October 10, 1845 by George Bancroft, located in Annapolis, Maryland. The institution offers higher education programs with a focus on education, training, cybersecurity, and operates as a military academy.
The USNA has its motto "Ex Scientia Tridens" and is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, American Chemical Society, Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of ABET, and the Computing Accreditation Commission (CAC) of ABET.
