The University of Alabama (UA) is a public educational institute founded in 1831 and located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. It is part of the University of Alabama System. The university is accredited by several organizations, including the American Psychological Association, the American Library Association, and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. UA is affiliated with the National Collegiate Athletic Association, Oak Ridge Associated Universities, and other national associations.
