The University of Bucharest, also known as Universitatea din Bucuresti, is a public educational institute in Romania, founded in 1864 by Alexandru Ioan Cuza. It is situated in Bucharest, and its motto is "Virtute et Sapientia". The university is accredited by the Ministry of National Education, Romania, and Agentia Romana de Asigurare a Calitatii in Invatamantul Superior.
