The University of Maine at Machias (UMM) is a public educational institute that is part of the University of Maine System and located in Machias, Maine in the United States. It was founded in 1909 and operates in the education, higher education, and university industries.
UMM holds accreditation from both the Maine Department of Education and the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE/NEASC). The university is affiliated with several organizations including, but not limited to, the United States Collegiate Athletic Association, the Association of American Colleges and Universities, American Association of State Colleges and Universities, and the National Recreation and Park Association.
