The University of New Brunswick (UNB) is a public educational institute located in Fredericton, Canada. It was founded in 1785 and operates in the education, higher education, and university industries.
UNB holds accreditations from the American Psychological Association, the Maritime Provinces Higher Education Commission, and the Department of Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour of New Brunswick. The university is also affiliated with various organizations, including Universities Canada, the Association of Commonwealth Universities, and the Canadian University Society for Intercollegiate Debate.
