University of Papua New Guinea

The University of Papua New Guinea (UPNG) is a public educational institute located in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. Founded in 1966, UPNG operates as an organization within the education, higher education, and university industries.

UPNG is accredited by the Department of Higher Education, Research, Science, and Technology of Papua New Guinea. The university is also affiliated with the Association of Commonwealth Universities and is a part of the University of Papua parent organization. UPNG's motto is "To be dedicated to the pursuit, advancement, and dissemination of knowledge, understanding and wisdom".
