University of Waterloo

The University of Waterloo (UW) is a public educational institute located in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. Established on April 7, 1956, the University was named after the famous Battle of Waterloo in Belgium. UW is known for its programs in education, higher education, and university-level courses.

This institution holds 13 patents assigned to it and operates several subsidiaries, including the University of Waterloo Faculty of Engineering, School of Accounting and Finance, and School of Optometry and Vision Science.
