The University of the Punjab, also known as جامعہ پنجاب, is a public educational institute and organization located in Lahore, Pakistan. Founded in 1882, it operates in the education, higher education, and university sectors. The university's motto is "Faith, Unity, Discipline".
The University of the Punjab is accredited by various organizations including the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, Pharmacy Council of Pakistan, Pakistan Engineering Council, National Business Education Accreditation Council, Government of the Punjab, and National Accreditation Council for Teacher Education. It is affiliated with the Association of Commonwealth Universities and the Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World.
The university has several subsidiaries, including the University of the Punjab in Jhelum, Gujranwala, and Khanspur.
