The University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) is a public educational institution founded on March 16, 1962. UVI is based in the United States of America, within the territory of the Virgin Islands. Initially, the university was officially called the College of the Virgin Islands. UVI holds accreditation from the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
