The Urawa Red Diamonds (浦和レッドダイヤモンズ Urawa Reddo Daiyamonzu?), also known simply as Urawa Reds (浦和レッズ Urawa Rezzu?), is a soccer club from Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture, Japan, and one of the most popular in the professional soccer league of that country. The team plays its home games at the Saitama 2002 Stadium in Saitama City, but its name comes from the ancient city of Urawa, which is now part of Saitama.
The Red Diamonds name alludes to the parent company of the Mitsubishi pre-professional club. The corporation's famous logo consists of three red diamonds, one of which remains within the current club logo.
The club has always been in the first division since 1965, except in the 1989/90 and 2000 seasons. The Urawa Red Diamonds, together with Yokohama F. Marinos, is the third club that has won the most championships in the first division and the Cup of the Emperor (with the most trophies won during the amateur era) and also won the 2007 and 2017 editions of the AFC Champions League, the most prestigious titles on his record.
