VIVES (venture capital)

VIVES FUND is a venture fund managed by Université catholique de Louvain (UCLouvain), a Belgian university. Its operations are based in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium (pb). The first fund was created in 2004, and as of 2019, it is raising capital for its third fund, VIVES Inter University Fund. Though based in Belgium, investors involved in the fund are based throughout Europe. VIVES FUND focuses on investing in seed to early-stage companies, operating in technology-based sectors. As of June 2018, VIVES FUND has provided funding for 36 companies and manages 18 active companies in its portfolio.
