On November 13, 2016 VWR International acquired BioArra, a company making serum-based products for cellular science, for an undisclosed amount of money.
On January 12, 2017 VWR International acquired Seastar Chemicals, a high purity reagent manufacturing company, for an undisclosed amount of money.
On March 22, 2017 VWR International acquired EPL Archives, a company consolidating, preservation, and management of regulated research manufacturing material, for an undisclosed amount of money.
On April 7, 2017 VWR International acquired MESM, a company making laboratory, medical equipment, and ancillary supplies for clinical trials, for an undisclosed amount of funding. The President and CEO of VWR International, Manuel Brocke-Benz, made the following public statement about the company's acquisition of MESM:
