Valery Bykovsky

Valery Bykovsky was born on August 2, 1934, in Pavlovsky Posad . He had Soviet Union citizenship and pursued various occupations such as aircraft pilot, military personnel, and astronaut . Bykovsky received his education from Zhukovsky Air Force Engineering Academy .

Valery Bykovsky was the child of Klavdia Ivanova Bykovsky and Fyodor Fyodorovich Bykovsky . Throughout his life, Bykovsky received numerous awards and honors, including the Order of Lenin , De la Vaulx Medal , and the title Hero of the Soviet Union . Some of his other awards and recognitions include the Order of Friendship , Order of the Red Banner of Labour , Medal "For the Development of Virgin Lands" , Order of the Red Star , Pilot-Cosmonaut of the USSR , and Hero of Socialist Labor .

In addition, Bykovsky was honored with the Order of Georgi Dimitrov , Order of Karl Marx , Order of the Cross of Grunwald , and Star of the Republic of Indonesia . Valery Bykovsky passed away on March 27, 2019 .
