Valery Koshlyakov

Born June 21, 1962 in Salsk. Classes in drawing began in the art studio of the DK Railroaders, with Vasily Shehovtsov, father of Sergei Shehovtsov. In 1983-88 studied at the Rostov Art College. M. B. Grekov. From 1986 to 1989 he worked as an artist at the Theater of Musical Comedy in Rostov-on-Don. Since 1988 he has been a member of the "Art or Death" partnership. From 1991 to 1993 he worked in the workshops of Na Trekhprudny.

Many critics consider Valery Koshlyakov one of the most interesting artists of modern Russia.

He lives and works in Moscow and Paris.
