Valparaiso University, a private educational institute, was founded in 1859 and is located in Valparaiso, Indiana, United States. Initially, it was known as Northern Indiana Normal School and Business Institute, then as Valparaiso College, and Valparaiso Male and Female College. The university operates in the fields of education, higher education, and as a university. Its motto is "In Tua Luce Videmus Lucem".
Valparaiso University is accredited by various organizations, including the Higher Learning Commission, Indiana Department of Education, and National Association of Schools of Music.
