Vasily Demut-Malinovsky (born 3 February 1779 in Saint Petersburg) was a renowned sculptor from the Russian Empire. He was educated at the prestigious Imperial Academy of Arts. Demut-Malinovsky's career spanned several decades, and he is known as the creator and author of the "Monument to Prince Volodymyr" among several other works. He passed away in Saint Petersburg on 16 July 1846.
