Vezt is a developer of a mobile application allowing users to share royalty rights for songs and recordings of various artists. The company's application provides artists, songwriters, and producers with funding sourced from fans on a global basis, while the fans receive royalties from these songs and recordings in turn for their funding. Vezt collects the royalties on behalf of the fans from performing rights organizations, publishers and record labels and tracks the royalties through the company's proprietary blockchain technology.
Central to Vezt's offering, the company has developed the concept of an Initial Song Offering, through which an artist or songwriter can share a percentage of a song's future royalties and brands for financing. The ISO includes a particular date and time when the royalty rights are made available to the public. Similar to ticket sales, or related initial offerings, there is a limited amount of available royalties, and an ISO can sell out quickly or slowly, depending on the offering. Furthermore, an ISO can be used to create a focal point of awareness, demand, and opportunity for both an artist and a potential community of fans.
