Viber offers mobile messaging and internet communication services and allows users to send texts, photos, and video messages. The instant messaging and social media platform for Android is operated by the Japanese multinational company Rakuten.
Viber offers Viber-to-Viber audio and video calls, allowing up to about fifty people to be connected through calls. The software has end-to-end encryption, enabling private messages to be confidential. The encryption is on by default for one-on-one conversations, chats, and group discussions that take place on the app.
Users can create a group chat with up to 250 participants, and they can send different types of text, photos, stickers, emojis, GIFs, and video messages with Viber, both in one-on-one and group conversations. They can send disappearing messages in their one-on-one and group conversations when they set a timer for each message. They also have the option to find the content they desire in one of Viber's communities or channels, like sports, news, cooking, travel, and entertainment.
