Vladimir Nemirovich-Danchenko

Vladimir Nemirovich-Danchenko was a Russian theatre director, dramaturge, playwright, screenwriter, and actor born on November 12, 1858, in Ozurgeti. He was a citizen of both the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union and dedicated his life to the theatre genre.

Nemirovich-Danchenko received education at Moscow State University before going on to become a renowned figure in the world of theatre. He co-founded the Moscow Art Theatre which would become widely influential in shaping contemporary drama. He passed away on April 25, 1943, in Moscow.
