Volley is an entertainment company that develops voice-activated games and apps for Amazon Alexa and Google Home. Founded by Max Child and James Wilsterman in 2016, the company is headquartered in San Francisco, California. Volley was a member of the Y Combinator W18 Accelerator Batch.
Volley's interactive voice games are currently accessible through Amazon and Google smart-speaker systems and are branching out to smart displays, TVs, cars, and mobile devices. Volley's platform includes games such as Song Quiz and adaptations of the popular television games Jeopardy!, Wheel of Fortune, and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?, which the company purchased the exclusive licensing rights to from Sony Pictures Television in March 2022. Volley's other notable acquisitions include Voxion, with which the company collaborated on Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader? and Family Duel, and Matchbox.io, the developers of the popular Question of the Day game.
