The car was put into production in 2002 in two versions of 2,5T and T6. 2,5T was based on a 2.5-liter 20-valve turbocharged inline 5-cylinder engine, producing 209 liters. from. (154 kW; 320 N·m), which was equipped with a 5-speed automatic transmission. T6 was based on a 2.9-liter 24-valve turbocharged inline 6-cylinder engine, producing 272 liters. from. (200 kW; 380 N·m) with a 4-speed automatic transmission (modified Volvo GM 4T60-E - 4T65EV/GT).
