Club history

In 1960, due to the expansion of class "B", the city of Lutsk was given a place among the master teams. It was decided to create a new team based on the DST "Avangard". At first it was announced as "Avangard", but before the very start of the tournament, on April 3, the name was changed to "Volyn". Volyn played its first match on April 10, 1960 in Kirovograd against the local "Star". In that match, the team got its first victory (3:1), and Vladimir Boychenko scored the first goal in the history of the club (in this match he scored all three goals of the team).In May 2017, the leadership of the Premier League deprived the team of 6 points due to unpaid salary debt of 70 thousand dollars to former player Sasha Stevic for several years. Because of this, the team lost the opportunity to stay in the championship next season.
