Vsmpo Avisma Corporation PJSC, also known as VSMPO, is a company producing semi-finished products crafted from titanium, aluminum alloys, stainless steel, and high percentage ferrotitanium. The company's products include ingots, pipes, sheets, and slabs. It is a large producer of titanium and provides metallurgy products for the aerospace, chemical industry, power engineering, and environmental markets.
The Verkhnyaya Salda-based company was established in 1933, and its major operations are situated in two production sites in Verkhnaya Salda and in Berezniki in the Russian Federation.
In 2018, Vsmpo Avisma and United States aerospace manufacturer, Boeing, launched a manufacturing unit in Russia’s Urals region of Sverdlovsk. The joint venture received 5.5 billion roubles (USD$82.3 million) in investment funds. The venture's focus is on titanium forgings for the Boeing commercial airplane programs, such as the 737 MAX, the 787 Dreamliner family, and the 777X.
