Wolt is a company that provides an online food delivery service as well as real-time logistic optimizations. The company was founded in 2014 by Elias Piteila, Juhani Mykkanen, Lauri Andler, Mika Matikainen, Miki Kuusi, and Oskari Petas, and was founded in Helsinki, Southern Finland, Finland.

COVID-19

With the outbreak of COVID-19 (coronavirus), Wolt looks to help consumers stay indoors and away from social interactions. The company has been following recommendations given by the World Health Organization as well as local authorities. They are providing no-contact-delivery and no-contact-pickup at restaurants. Minimizing human contact throughout the delivery process is the goal for Wolt.

Some of the recommendations that Wolt follows includes keeping hands clean as often as possible, minimizing contact at all doorsteps, regularly cleaning the delivery bag, follow guidance from local authorities, and if a courier feels unwell to stay home. They are also offering a COVID-19 partner support program to provide financial support to courier partners diagnosed with COVID-19 and are part of a mandatory quarantine.
