Walter Benjamin

Walter Benjamin was a German philosopher, writer, and art critic born on July 15, 1892, in Berlin, Germany. He held citizenship in both German Empire and Germany. Throughout his career, Benjamin used pseudonyms such as Benedix Schönflies and Detlev Holz.

Benjamin received his education from notable institutions, including the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, University of Freiburg, Humboldt University of Berlin, and University of Bern. He passed away on September 26, 1940, in Portbou, Spain.
