Walter Hill

Walter Hill, born Walter Wesley Hill on January 10, 1942 in Long Beach, California , is an American film director , producer , screenwriter , and executive producer . He is a citizen of the United States and was educated at Michigan State University . Hill is the founder of Brandywine Productions and is known for his action films and revival of the Western genre .

Hill's film career started in 1968 , and since then, he has directed films such as "The Warriors" , "The Assignment" , "Hard Times" , "48 Hrs." , "Alien 3" , and "Bullet to the Head" . As a screenwriter, Hill has authored works like "Hickey & Boggs" , "The Getaway" , "The Mackintosh Man" , and "The Thief Who Came to Dinner" .
