Washington State University (WSU) is a public educational institute located in Pullman, Washington, United States. Founded on March 28, 1890, WSU operates in the industries of education, higher education, and university. The university's official name is Washington State University, and its motto is "World Class. Face to Face.". WSU employs 1,304 staff members.
WSU has several subsidiaries that operate in various fields. Some of these subsidiaries include the College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences; College of Veterinary Medicine; Edward R. Murrow College of Communication; Carson College of Business; Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture; and the Global Campus.
Washington State University is accredited by several organizations, such as the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities; Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education; Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of ABET; Computing Accreditation Commission (CAC) of ABET; Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education; and the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. In addition, WSU is affiliated with the National Collegiate Athletic Association, the National Athletic Association, and the Association of Public and Land.
The university is also the owner of several facilities, such as Martin Stadium, Beasley Coliseum, Rogers Field , and Bailey–Brayton Field. Additionally, WSU owns and operates multiple radio stations, including KNWU (FM), KWSU (AM), KWWS, and KLWS.
