Wes Craven, born Wesley Earl Craven, was an American television producer, film director, film producer, screenwriter, actor, camera operator, and television director. Born on August 2, 1939, in Cleveland, Ohio, Craven passed away on August 30, 2015, in Los Angeles, California.
Craven had one child, Jonathan Craven, and was educated at Wheaton College in Illinois. With his varied experience in the entertainment industry, Wes Craven directed several films such as "The Hills Have Eyes Part II", "Vampire in Brooklyn", "Deadly Friend", "Cursed", "Scream" , "Scream 2", "Scream 3", "Scream 4", and "Swamp Thing".
In addition to his directing credits, Craven was also a member of the board of directors for "A Nightmare on Elm Street" and directed "The People Under the Stairs". Some of his other notable works include "The People Next Door" and "Tina Gray". Overall, Wes Craven had a diverse and extensive career in the world of television and film.
