William Friedkin is an American screenwriter, film director, film producer, and television director born on August 29, 1935, in Chicago. He holds citizenship in the United States and received his education at Senn High School.
Friedkin directed episodes of the television series "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" and created the film "Sorcerer". He has served on the board of directors for films including "The Exorcist", "Sorcerer", and "The French Connection". Friedkin's work has been recognized with the prestigious Academy Award for Best Director.
