William IV, Duke of Bavaria

William IV, Duke of Bavaria (born November 13, 1493, and died March 7, 1550), was a German nobleman. He was born in Munich to his father, Albert IV, Duke of Bavaria, and mother, Kunigunde of Austria, a daughter of Emperor Frederick III. Throughout his life, William IV was the Duke of Bavaria from 1508 to 1550, sharing the title with his younger brother, Louis X, Duke of Bavaria, until 1545.

He had two children, Albert V, Duke of Bavaria, and Mechthild of Bavaria. William IV passed away in Munich, where he was born.
