Australian botanist and vigneron
William Macarthur (born December 1, 1800, died October 29, 1882) was an Australian citizen known for his various occupations such as a politician, breeder, land tenure specialist, and magistrate. He was born in Australia and received his education at Rugby School.
William was the child of prominent wool pioneer John Macarthur and Elizabeth Macarthur, making him a member of an influential Australian family. Throughout his career, he was involved in a variety of fields, contributing to the growth and development of Australia during his lifetime.
He passed away in Sydney on October 29, 1882.
