Wole Soyinka

Wole Soyinka, born on July 13, 1934, is a Nigerian author, philosopher, playwright, writer, professor, novelist, and poet. He was born in Abeokuta, Nigeria and is the father of Olaokun Soyinka.

Soyinka received his education at the University of London, University of Leeds, and University of Ibadan. In 1986, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature.
