Wyeth has product lines in prescription medications and consumer health products, including nutritional supplements and over-the-counter medications.
The company manufactures and markets pharmaceutical products for the treatment of infectious diseases, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal diseases, cancer, women's health illnesses and depression.
Wyeth markets its products in over 140 countries, and has manufacturing facilities on five continents. In the 1990s, Wyeth, which was at the time called American Home Products, started selling off the wide-ranging businesses it acquired over the years, retaining its focus on pharmaceuticals and medicine. In 2002, the company had changed its name from American Home Products to Wyeth.
