Yangqin Jia is a Chinese computer scientist. He is an expert in areas of machine learning, deep learning, artificial intelligence and computer vision. He is known for creating and contributing to open source libraries.
He created Caffe, an open source deep learning framework during his PhD at the University of California, Berkeley. He also created and now leading the development of Caffe2. He is also lead in the ONNX project, an open standard for neural networks.
He worked at Google Brain and co-created TensorFlow, Google's next-generation AI platform.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Automation and Master of Science in Control Science and Engineering at the Tsinghua University and his PhD in Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley.
