Yevgeny Zamyatin

Yevgeny Zamyatin (born January 20, 1884, in Lebedyan; died March 10, 1937, in Paris) was a Russian engineer, screenwriter, playwright, writer, and novelist. Throughout his career, Zamyatin held citizenship in both the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union. He is known as an author of various literary genres, including science fiction, libretto, political satire, theatre, neorealism, dystopia, speculative fiction, history, and novels.
