York Angels Investors is an angel group from Toronto, Canada that invests in early to mid-stage companies in health care, information technology and telecommunications. Founded 2008 in Markham, Ontario by Scott MacCannell, it provides seed capital, convertible notes and venture round funding. Its portfolio companies include AXIS Labs, Enthusiast Gaming Inc., PerfectlySoft Inc., U-Feast Corporation, Hockeystick and Dapasoft. It specifically invests in companies that work with information technology, telecommunications, interne, online applications, enterprise and SaaS software, retail and pharmaceuticals.
Since 2008 until 2019, it had two successful exits and had invested in over 40 deals, totaling roughly $10.8M. Its angel investments usually range from $150,000 to $1.0 million.
