Yoshiyuki Tomino (とみの よしゆき) was born on November 5, 1941, in Odawara, Japan. He holds Japanese citizenship and is known for his work as a film director, screenwriter, novelist, musician, and animator. Tomino was educated at Nihon University.
He is best known for creating the Mobile Suit Gundam series, which includes titles such as Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory, Mobile Suit Victory Gundam, and Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team.
