Yuan T. Lee

Yuan T. Lee is a chemist born on November 19, 1936, in Hsinchu, Taiwan. He holds citizenship in the United States and is known for receiving the 1986 Nobel Prize in Chemistry.

Lee pursued his education at the National Taiwan University, and later attended the University of California, Berkeley. Bruce H. Mahan served as his doctoral advisor while at Berkeley. One of Lee's doctoral students was Paul Weiss, a nanoscientist. Lee Tze-Fan, his father, also played a significant role in his life.

Throughout his career, Yuan T. Lee has made substantial contributions to the field of Chemistry, and his work has been recognized in the form of prestigious awards and recognition in his field.
