Yuri Nikolaevich Paporov soviet and Russian international journalist, writer
He first started working as an international journalist in Latin America in the 1950s. Since the early 1950s, he has been acquainted with famous Latin American writers and artists, among them — Diego Rivera, David Siqueiros, Frida Kahlo.
In the 1990s, for several years he was a senior researcher at the Trotsky Museum in Mexico. He wrote mainly documentary and biographical works. The most famous biographical book "Hemingway in Cuba" about the American writer was written after 5 years spent by Paporov in Cuba. In Mexico, he wrote a book about the last years of Leon Trotsky's life associated with this country - for the sake of collecting material for the book, according to the official version, Paporov was in the countries of Central and Latin America from 1978 to the early 2000s
Since 1974, Yuri Paporov was married to singer Valentina Tolkunova (1946-2010)
