Yurii Khmelnytsky (born January 1, 1641, in Subotiv; died January 1, 1685, in Kamianets-Podilskyi) was a diplomat and Hetman of Zaporizhian Host. He held citizenship in Poland and the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth. Yurii was the son of Bohdan Khmelnytsky, the famous leader of the Cossack Hetmanate.
Yurii Khmelnytsky received his education at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. He played a crucial role in the politics and diplomacy of his time and served as a key figure in the history of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth and the Zaporizhian Host.
