Yury Solomin

Yury Solomin, born as Yuri Methodievich Solomin on June 18, 1935, is a Russian actor, film director, theatre director, teacher, and politician. He was born in Chita, Zabaykalsky Krai and educated at the Mikhail Shchepkin Higher Theatre School. Solomin holds citizenship in both the Soviet Union and Russia.

Solomin has received numerous awards, including Hero of Labour of the Russian Federation, Honored Artist of the RSFSR, Order "For Merit to the Fatherland", 2nd, 3rd, and 4th classes, People's Artist of the RSFSR, and the State Prize of the Russian Federation. Additionally, he has been awarded the Order of Honor, Order of Friendship of Peoples, Medal "In memory of the 1000th anniversary of Kazan", Order of the Holy Blessed Prince Daniel of Moscow, 1st class, and the Golden Aries award.
