ZEG Power provides technology and systems for the production of clean hydrogen and/or electricity from hydrocarbon gas, through its novel ZEG ICC™ Technology with integrated carbon capture. ZEG delivers solutions for clean hydrogen production from gas, through its technology with integrated carbon capture.
ZEG offers the most cost-efficient solution to replace the usage of fossil energy with clean hydrogen. The efficient process, due to its integrated carbon capture and separation, makes technology an important contributor to reaching global climate targets. Combined with turbine or fuel-cell, ZEG delivers solutions for clean power production.
The ZEG ICC™ technology is based on an optimized and intensified steam methane reforming technology called Sorption Enhanced Reforming (SER). Some advantages of this technology include clean hydrogen production, high hydrogen production yield, modular and scalable, and patented technology. The ZEG technology is verified through feasibility studies and pilot plant realization and testing and is protected by trade secrets developed over two decades of extensive research. ZEG has seven patent families in total, including 31 approved patents, and 30+ patents in process.
One of ZEG'S projects includes sorbent and catalyst testing. ZEG and R&D partner IFE collaborates on a project involving the ZEG pilot plant at IFE Hynor. The purpose of the project is to obtain long-term sorbent and catalyst performance data. Another project is the Questerre blue hydrogen project, where ZEG and Questerre sign a Letter of Intent (LOI) to evaluate ZEG's technology for Questerre’s Clean Tech Energy project in Québec, Canada.
Founded in 2008 as a spin-off of the same technological group that built and operated one of the world’s first nuclear reactors, revolutionized the world´s offshore industry, and made it possible to trade electric power on the stock exchange, ZEG Power envisions to empower the world with clean energy. The company aims to realize efficient and clean production of hydrogen or electricity.
