Zaha Hadid was born in Baghdad on October 31, 1950, the child of Mohammed Hadid . She held citizenship in both the United Kingdom and Iraq. Hadid was a renowned architect, designer, artist, and painter known for her unique architectural designs.
Hadid was educated at the Berkhamsted School and the American University of Beirut before attending the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London.
Some of her notable works include the London Aquatics Centre, Phaeno Science Center, Riverside Museum, and the Guangzhou Opera House. She worked on various projects such as Hoxton Square, CityLife (Milan), and the BMW Central Building.
Throughout her career, Hadid received prestigious awards including the Praemium Imperiale, Erich Schelling Architecture Award, and the Pritzker Prize.
Zaha Hadid passed away in Miami on March 31, 2016.
