Her mother was an African-American from New York. She spent her childhood in Berlin and then studied in the U.S.. Fluent in English and German.
In elementary school, joined drama class and realized she wanted to tie her life with a career as an actress. She graduated with a degree in French from Skidmore College.
She made her debut as Rain in the black comedy Nonsense (2015). Instead, she went to Skidmore College, where she received a bachelor's degree in French. Beetz currently resides in her hometown, New York.
