Zeedz is the developer of a play-for-purpose game, which works to reduce global carbon emissions by collecting plant-inspired creatures. These creatures are NFTs built on an eco-friendly blockchain and are designed to grow with the real-world weather. The NFT creatures, Zeedles, will grow, evolve, and customize as players wish. The intention is to increase the value of the Zeedle, which can then be sold to start again. Or a player can keep the Zeedle and keep collecting new ones.
Zeedz was founded in 2021 by Ben Ebner and Sven Junglas and is based in Berlin. The company plans to launch their own cryptocurrency, FRUIZ, in later 2022.

When players join the game, they receive Zeedz from a Zeedpack or in the marketplace. The different packs offer different types of Zeedles, which grow better in different environments. This requires a certain type of terrain to plant the Zeedz in, and they begin to grow with the weather. Zeedz is played with a real-world map, so the weather of the region impacts the growth of the Zeedle. If this works out, the Zeedle hatches and has a magic flame, which indicates the Zeedle's mood and health. The player then needs to grow the Zeedle up to level 99.
