Our solution is to adapt the Minerva Virtual Work Environment (VWE) base architecture (presently contracted for 3 use cases by USAF) for use as a space operator education & network command, control & communications VWE. We would focus on a training use case to begin as it has been our experience that it is easier administratively & lower risk for the defense customer to validate with a training use case and then move to testing with a validated solution against an operational use case. Our solution, Project Selene, would utilize an adapted MOSA framework. Our training/operational environment would make use of Unity 3D / C# and standardized 3D models of various assets. Depending on the implementation requirement, we can make the application standalone with messaging to the ROS OS or via various govcloud services like AWS and Azure. Our current implementation makes use of standardized JREAP message formats sent through Ultra-16s for satellite connectivity. Proposed solution could integrate into AETC’s ‘myLearning’ Learning Management System (LMS) for training Airmen & Guardian Leadership, into USAF MOTAR ecosystem for simulation assets, and into the United States Space Surveillance System for operational usage & the NASA Gazebo Simulation Environment. System can also integrate into other environments such as Platform One, Cloud One, or DI2E for development.
