Zkatter was a London-based company that developed a platform for live mobile video broadcasting. Its technology was location-based and allowed for mobile photo and video-sharing on Nokia N95 handsets. The company was founded in 2008 and it closed in 2017; its last presence was on social media in September 2017.
Zkatter's product of the same name was a mobile service that allowed users to conduct a live broadcast and share their location with their friends, with the option to share it with the public. It allowed users to capture live moments with their phone and aggregate them around people, places, and events. It was reported that the app was being developed so it could be integrated into various social media networks, such as Facebook and Twitter. Zkatter was launched at SXSW in 2011, with founder Matt Hagger completing discussion circuits to explain the product to others.
