Zollikon

Zollikon is located immediately adjacent to the Zurich City limits, within the Canton of Zurich, but is its own distinct administrative area. It forms the beginning of an area known as the Gold Coast, which lies on the east side of Lake Zurich and is known for its wealthy citizens and the long hours of daily sunlight it receives in contrast to the west side of the lake which receives far less sun light and is sometimes pejoratively referred to as the 'grey coast'.

Zollikon is known for its advantageous tax rates and wealthy residents.
